'The HR Forums were formed as a result of a need for HR professionals to meet on a regular basis to discuss HR issues and to exchange best practice. My research had shown that there were plenty of organisations around that offered talks on a variety of HR topics but none that allowed the members to set their own agenda and to discuss and explore issues that they were dealing with at a particular time.
By forming various HR Forums within certain geographical areas in the south east, I felt that this would allow HR professionals not only to focus in on trends, but also to network with diverse organisations, within their locality, to give them some alternative and often thought provoking ways of dealing with a wide variety of HR issues.
